Dulwich Hempcrete extension

A delightful extension removing a uninsulated asbestos box at the rear of this free standing house in Dulwich Hill.

It has been transformed into an open plan living area hosting a new kitchen, dining and sitting area with a small bathroom and laundry tucked in at the back. A open plan kitchen with island bench responds to the whole room and to the outside deck.  New windows on the northern side fill the room with winter warmth and large doors open up onto a shady covered deck that provides a lovely place to relax on hot summer days.

The house has been disconnected from gas and is now an all electric home with induction cooking, air conditioning for heating and cooling , solar panels and a heat pump for hot water. The renovation includes UPVC double glazed windows & doors, hempcrete walls and hardwood floors.
