Ours has been a rather large and innovative project for a suburban development: a single-storey duplex built with sustainability — environmental and social — at the forefront: our ‘Grand Design’. Tracy has been great to work with, taking on board our requirements for both these forms of sustainability and helping us to contain expenses (I should have listened more to those words of wisdom!). Tracy has been fabulous to communicate with, she’s been always helpful, and has provided ‘reality checks’ for some of my wilder ideas. Advice to others: keep Tracy engaged throughout the project as her advice and enthusiasm is amazing!

Tracy has done a brilliant job of making the long-planned renovation of our federation semi a reality. From our first meeting Tracy seemed to know exactly what we were looking to achieve. She listened to our ideas and produced plans that we were very happy with. Her detailed plans, and knowledge of local council and the development application process, resulted in a very swift approval. Communication with Tracy has always been easy. She has put us in touch with suppliers and builders, all of whom have been great to deal with. Our project is currently underway and we’re delighted with the progress. Tracy has continued to be available to provide advice to us and our builder and we can see that she’s as excited as we are to see the end result. I would have no hesitation in recommending Connected Design.

Tracy Graham played a pivotal role in bringing to life our aspirations for the renovation of our family home. Although the scope of the redevelopment was fairly modest, the transformation that it has brought to our lives has been very significant. Tracy guided us through every step of the process, helping us to make timely decisions that resulted in a building process that was not only efficient but, somewhat remarkably, also pleasant. Tracy has a particular concern to ensure that buildings are sustainable – both in terms of their construction and use. This led to the use of innovative materials that not only complemented the design, but also achieved improved environmental outcomes.

We engaged Tracy to design our home knowing that she really understood the outcome that we were trying to achieve. She has a systematic approach, listens to your needs / wants / and ‘would be nice to have’ ideas on your home. She has a great understanding of how to make a home work for the people living in it. The space really works for us now, before it was closed off and it was hard to keep track of where the kids were!
Her attention to detail is brilliant – the documentation of the build left no margin for error, working through all the wall types, window installation details. Her work navigating our way through council – especially during Covid – was brilliant. We ended up with plans approved to build over our FSR.
This was Tracy’s first PassivHaus build and she worked in tirelessly with the PassivHaus consultants to make this work. On open days that we have run for the PassivHaus community, many people have commented on great design, fitting so much into a tight space without it feeling small.
Thank you from Nick and Yuka.
